Meet Emily
Hi! I’m Emily Kennedy, owner and practitioner behind Emily Kennedy Bodywork, operating proudly as a contractor under the Avatar Healing umbrella. I originally discovered Avatar Healing through a recommendation from my chiropractor. I spent several wonderful years experiencing Camille’s transformative care as a client before officially coming on board to work alongside her.
For the past six months, I’ve been running my own business out of the adjacent room in the Applegate Office Center, and it has been an absolute dream come true. I have been a licensed massage therapist for nine years, and I have truly loved every single minute of it.
Over nearly a decade in the field, I have passionately expanded my holistic toolkit to offer deeper layers of healing for my clients. Alongside traditional therapeutic Swedish bodywork, I am certified in cupping therapy and hold three advanced certifications in Reiki and energy healing. This unique blend allows me to tune into your body, specializing in relaxation and intuitive parasympathetic nervous system reading to help shift your body out of “fight or flight” and into a true state of recovery.
My practice is built entirely on deep compassion and vulnerability. My absolute favorite moments on the table are when my clients feel safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep. To me, that level of trust means the world, and it is the driving force behind why I love this work so much.
When I am not at the Applegate Office Center, my life is anchored by a rich, vibrant community of my family, friends, children, and pets whom I keep close to my heart at all times. To make sure I am fully energized to care for my clients, I place a high value on my own self-care and play. You can usually find me catching live concerts around Madison, out rollerblading, or indulging in long, restorative naps and deep baths. I look forward to welcoming you into my space and helping you find your ultimate state of rest.
